I don't have to post today, since my thirty days was up yesterday, but I am so glad it's Friday. Loooong week. We had a national user's conference at work, and I had to commute to Phoenix for the first three days, then I had an early AM blood appointment yesterday, so I have gotten little writing on the novel done this week. Some of that has to do with I am SO THROUGH with my La-Z-Boy recliner, where I do my writing (and reading, and TV watching, and everything else). Currently shopping for a more ergonomic replacement.

Today is my 7th anniversary of working at this place.

OTOH, check out my original fiction short story.

Also distracted by a robot landing on a comet (a bunch of times).

7 years? Wow! Time flies!

And will read later!

Great bouncy distraction, wasn't it?

More like a roller coaster distraction. It lands, it bounces, no one can find it. It lands sideways in a shadow and can't recharge. They somehow DO ALL THE SCIENCE anyway. After repositioning it, they can even use the drill. Then it sends all its data to Earth shortly before losing battery power and drifting off to asleep.

I'm telling you, this could become a movie.

Great world you've created (or far too likely to be great, but it seems very real). And main characters, very likable and believable.

The assignment was to write about a "journey". I thought of the memorable journeys I've been on. The ones with enough misadventure to be actual *stories* were always cross-country trips to and from college. Then I thought, "hey, college carpool in space."
