Good Christmas

Headed out to my bro's this AM for a 7 o'clock roll-call around the tree. We started out with donuts and coffee, then spent about an hour opening gifts. After that, we sat around and chit-chatted while listening to the complete Messiah, a Christmas morning tradition for at least me, my mom, and my brother. By then, it was late enough to call the assorted fam on the West Coast, my nephew and his family (San Francisco), and my uncle and his family (Vancouver Island).

Then we all went to the golf course for a big Christmas dinner. I ate way too much of course, and had to come home and nap for the rest of the afternoon. Well, more like lay quietly in a dark room with my eyes closed since I couldn't seem to fall asleep. But the horizontal part was necessary because any other position would have given me a gut cramp.

I am relatively rested now, and soon off to the Sculptor's for yet Moar Christmas Festivities.

It was. Exhausting, but great.

I just noticed this morning that you'd written 7:00 a.m. Pretty early on a day off even for us early risers. Hope that the evening was fun and that you're sleeping in ths morning!

Actually, mom and I were getting "hurry up and get here!" calls well before 7 am. If we'd all been in the same house, Christmas would have started at 6 am.

3 am, if you were me and my sibs back in the day. I bet my parents really hated that.
