Birthday song meme

I wasn't going to post this, but then I read a comment saying that this was the number #1 song in the US the day that Kennedy was killed. Which tells you when abouts I was born.

I remember the tune. The words were kind of a blur even at the time. But I don't remember Dale & Grace at all.

Interesting. One of the commenters said they were 12 when that song came out and "that was back when music made sense."

Your mileage may vary.

Well, most of the songs then were about teen love, happy or unhappy. Not much mysterious symbolism, if that's what they meant. ;o)

I'll take my obscure Siouxsie and the Banshees poetry. Much more emotionally satisfying.

I do not know this song at all! How odd.

Which just goes to show you that hitting number #1 on the Billboard charts is no guarantee of immortality.
