Don't really consider myself a "fan fiction writer", but I'm waiting for the IT guy to update the test software environment....

Your result for The Fan Fiction Personality Test...

The True Fan

OOC is blasphemy, canon is everything.

Once you fall in love with a movie, book or TV series, you are loyal like an old dog. You take fanfiction quite serious and use it as a substitute after the canon ran out.

You are probably a walking dictionary of your favourite fandom and you are picky about what you write and read. The closer to the "real thing" fanfiction is, the more you like it.

You rather explore a character in all depth, see new sides and learn more about them than creating new characters or mix up the situations they are in.

Don't really consider myself a "fan fiction writer"

Cause two seasons of The Destroyer were just a lark dashed off on the spur of the moment...

And (most of) those results you got... We're all just shocked!

In my mind, a "fan fiction writer" is someone who starts a new fan fiction project once s/he is finished the previous one. I, for one, am done!

I find this offensive, because I am walking encyclopedia of my favorite fandom!

I'm shocked, shocked to find you in that category

I landed myself in The Mindgamer category, and on the contrary to you, it did fit me well.

That's the one that likes to do AU's, isn't it? Definitely not my thing. ; )

I do indeed like a well written AU. But there are AU where all BtVS characters are humans and race drivers. And in the another end what-if-Angel-killed-Willow-instead-of-her-fish!!!?. My type of AU is mostly in the last category.

An important distinction.

I've never understood why people who write the former even bother--it's like writing original characters with the name of TV show characters.
