As always...a bit Lost

I'm feeling nostalgic this morning. For those easy days of six, seven years ago on BtVS and Angel when we only had to wait, oh, five months for a...friggin' cliff hanger to be resolved in a new television season. May to October. October to May. Heck, it was the beginning of October, so really, only four and a half months. Or September, so four.

Not Eight.Friggin.Months!!!

Remind me also, even when the temptation is vast, to NOT let myself get even the slightest bit spoiled, as you develop expectations that way, which when not fulfilled as you imagined, lead to a slight disappointment?

Well, I'm off to get my MRI, then I can read whatever folks might have to say about last night's ep(s).

ya know, this didn't seem very cliffhanger-y to me. As much as I want to see another new episode, I think everyone knows that there is a probable "reset" coming in the final season... so there isn't much anticipation as to what happened.

or not.

Actually, I think this is cliffhangery, if you believe there will be a reset. Because everyone else I'm reading is convinced that Lost doesn't do resets. They're a much more fatalistic show.

god I hope there is not a reset..
but I mentioned on another board that Juliet's bomb-bonk to end the show in a flash was eerily similar to John Locke's fall down the well earlier this year to "reset" the island to course-correct itself.

John was poited* out into the real world to live another day and he stationed the island into a fixed coordinate when he turned the donkey wheel.

Could Juliet actually survive when she bombdiggitied the island? Could she have been poited* off the island and actually live?

Probably not. But I do think she reset the island. I'm not saying she changed anything, because last night we were watching 1977 and 2007 at the same time. The logical solution is whatever she does/did in 1977, we see the results in 2007.

But with the fade to white, we could get a reset with a more positive vibe. I doubt we will start back at the airplane crash from 2004.. but it would be awesome to start with Juliet's Eye and a zoom out to her waking up in the bamboo forest needing Jack to attend to her severe wounds.

Agreed. What the hell is up with this 2010 bullshit? Aren't shows supposed to start up again in the fall?? Why do they think they're exempt? *pout*

Because they warned us about this two years ago when the writer's strike gave them an excuse to start 14-episode seasons.

My head is still spinning from that ending. Most of it I loved, some of it I loathed. The big question is, is the flash at the end the bomb going off, the group suddenly time traveling (a flash was seen each time), both, something else?

I read that the fish that Jacob was cooking at the beginning was a red herring. Take that as you will.

LOLOLOL, but what is the red herring? There are too many possibilities.
